Green Spot Chateau Montelena Irish Whiskey This innovative Irish whiskey represents a unique collaboration between Ireland’s Midleton Distillery, Mitchell & Son, and Napa Valley’s renowned Chateau Montelena. Initially matured in traditional sherry and bourbon casks, it is then finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from the prestigious California winery. • The nose opens with vanilla, white chocolate, red apples, pears, pomegranate, cranberries and maraschino cherries • The palate is silky and mouth-coating, with citrus zest, ripe orchard fruit, pot still spices, toasted oak and a hint of marzipan • The finish is long and balanced, with soft wine tannins and lingering spice Pair this whiskey with herb-roasted poultry, pork tenderloin or cheese boards featuring Brie and Camembert. Its fruity profile also suits desserts like berry tarts, poached pears or vanilla panna cotta.
