West Midlands Distillery First Fill Bourbon Cask Finish Inaugural Release Whisky The first-ever whisky to be distilled and bottled in the West Midlands. These inaugural releases comprise of 5 unique bottlings which represent four family members of the West Midlands Distillery. Only 900 bottles have been released across these 5 limited editions. The First Fill Bourbon release is distilled from 100% English barley and matured in a barrels which previously held Buffalo Trace first fill ASB. Bottled at a strength of 52.1% which no added colour and non-chill filtered. • On the nose, it opens with generous layers of caramel and vanilla, underpinned by warming spice and a subtle note of golden honey. • The palate delivers indulgent sweetness, with flavours of caramelised sugar, creme brulee, and a playful hint of soda float – rich yet balanced, with a rounded texture that lingers softly on the finish. Released on 11th July 2025 to honour the birthday of the distillery’s late matriarch, this inaugural edition celebrates not only craftsmanship but also family legacy and regional pride. Each bottle is hand-finished, colour-coded by cask and flavour profile, and housed in a gift box that fans open to reveal a map of the West Midlands - the first whisky ever to be born from its soil.
