Michter's Toasted Barrel Bourbon 2024 Release Michter’s was among the pioneers in creating the "toasted barrel" category in 2014. This technique has since become a signature of their limited-edition releases. The process begins with Michter’s US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon. This bourbon is from a mash bill containing at least 51% corn (as required by bourbon regulations). Them complemented by other grains like rye and malted barley. Ageing the bourbon in traditional new, charred American white oak barrels. These barrels contribute classic bourbon flavours like caramel, vanilla, and oak. The liquid is then transferred into specially toasted (but not charred) barrels made from 18-month air-dried oak. The secondary ageing adds depth and complexity, delivering a unique flavour profile. • On the nose, warm aromas of caramel, vanilla, and brown sugar intertwine with hints of gingerbread spices, clove, and a touch of green apple tartness • The palate is medium to full-bodied, showcasing layers of brown sugar, apple butter, and toffee, complemented by spiced ginger, cinnamon, and subtle charred oak • Notes of vanilla and dark chocolate add depth, while the green apple tang offers balance • Michter's Toasted Barrel Bourbon 2024 Release has a long and smooth finish.
